I am sure many of you have heard of Energy Star Rated appliances, and most of you have already heard of the Energy Star Label. Most likely alot of you already are using energy star rated light bulbs.

So I thought I would share with you exactly what that means, and just how much savings using energy star appliances can save you financially as well as saving energy which in turns saves or environment.

Sponsored by the EPA, and the Department of Energy, the energy star program rates products from light bulbs to kitchen appliances. Energy Star labels guarantees that products are energy efficient. For example, a battery charger labeled with the energy star logo wll use 35 percent less energy then a standard one. You may even be eligible for a tax credit when you purchase an energy star product. A household with energy star prouducts uses about 30% less energy then the average household, an annual saving of about $570.00.
