Energy usage is one of the things addressed in "Going Green". Heating and Air Conditioning are one of things that have the biggest energy consumption. SAVE ENERGY,

I have found Mother Nature a great help in saving on heating and air conditioning bills. It's a simple and quick savings. I have changed to the wide levered blinds. They come in many different colors. I have found that by opening the blinds, I ususally warm up a room by about 3 degrees, on a bright sunny day.

Even up to 5 degrees if I pull the shade itself up. I do this in my bedroom since I have a privacy fence up on that side of my house.

In the summer, I keep the blinds closed, and you block the sun, and keep the room cooler.
Mother Nature helps you just by inviting it in your home in the winter, and taking back the invitation in the summer.

Well it's that time of year and the temperature has plumeted. But the concept is the same in any extreme temperatures, either hot or cold. The weather strip on your door will keep cold air out, and your heating inside.

Same in the summer it will keep the heat from the hot scorching summer sun out, and your air conditioning inside. So make sure your weather strip is in good condition and if not change it or replace it. As the photo shows we needed to replace ours this year.

RECYCLE and help save our environment. Recycle in your local community. Plastic, cardboard, newspaper, and other paper, just to name a few are things that can be recyled and used over again in a different capacity, therfore saving our earth's natural resources and also preventing pollution to our earth through poisons that are polluting our earth and underground streams through our landfills.

Many places such as where I live, the cities provide recyling cans for you. I pay no charge for this pick up service. Other places have recycling centers where you can drop off items that can be recycled.

Every item recycled is an item that does not end up in a landfill. This helps save our earth, our environment and our under gound streams from pollution.
